Supplements for hair nutrition

Vitamin B A deficiency of the B-vitamins biotin and PABA can cause hair loss. So vitamin B is essential for proper hair growth.   Supplements of biotin may strengthen hair, stimulate new hair growth, slow hair loss, and prevent greying, particularly in those who are deficient in this nutrient.
PABA (para-aminobenzoic acid) may protect hair roots and help prevent hair loss. It can also reverse greying in cases where the cause is a deficiency of PABA or other B-vitamins.

Essential fatty acids

A deficiency of fatty acid can cause hair loss. Consumption of supplements can help improve the health of scalp and hair. Take a blend of fish, flaxseed, and evening primrose or borage oil.

Orthosilicic acid

Enhances collagen formation and makes hair stronger and thicker. One study found that it improved brittleness of hair and nails. Taking silicon supplements will not yield the same results as silicon is poorly absorbed.

Grape seed extract

Grape seed is a potent antioxidant that has been shown in preliminary research to stimulate hair growth.

Minerals

Mineral deficiency can cause hair loss in many cases. Iron, selenium, and zinc are essential for hair growth. Taken vitamins and minerals supplements can significantly improve condition of hair.

Saw palmetto

Saw palmetto is used primarily for the treatment of enlarged prostate. It blocks the production of DHT and thus it may be helpful for treating hair loss due to high DHT levels, although this has not been tested in humans yet.

Before taken any supplements consult with your health care provider.

HYPOTHYROIDISM: vitamins supplements

Some years ago, the most common cause of hypothyroidism was iodine deficiency.
Iodine is required for the production of thyroid hormone.
When iodine was added to table salt, deficiency became a rare problem.
However, today people are encouraged to reduce salt intake for health reasons, and most of the salt that we get comes from processed foods that contain non-iodized sodium, so it is possible that low iodine levels are again partly contributing to thyroid disease.

Many people do not realize that they have low thyroid because in the early stages the symptoms can be very mild and vague. For example, fatigue.

Dietary Recommendations

Essential fatty acids are important for proper thyroid function. Eat more fish and flaxseed.
Sea vegetables such as kelp, nori, dulse, and wakame contain iodine, which is used by the body to make thyroid hormone. Shellfish and saltwater fi sh also contain iodine. Iodine through food or supplements is helpful only if you are deficient this nutrient

Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, collard greens, and kale contain goitrogens, which interfere with thyroid hormone synthesis must be avoided. Cooking usually inactivates these goitrogens, so this is the rare case where cooked is preferred over raw.
Don’t use tap water which contains fluorine and chlorine, which can inhibit the body’s ability to absorb iodine.

Recommended Supplements

Compounded thyroid hormones: Provide the body with biologically active, natural hormones. Both T3 and T4 can be made into delayed-release capsules and tailored to your needs. Compounded hormones are available by prescription at compounding pharmacies.

Guggul

Increases production of thyroid hormone (T3). Dosage: 25 mg of guggulsterones
(active component) three times daily.

Vitamins and mineral complex

Many nutrients are required to produce thyroid hormone, such as vitamin C, E, A, and the B-vitamins. Selenium is required for the conversion from T4 to T3. Many people are deficient in selenium, which may hamper thyroid hormone levels, so a complete multivitamin can ensure that all essential nutrients requirements are met.

Ashwaganda

An herbal product that helps boosts thyroid function and also reduces stress.

Tyrosine

An amino acid involved in the synthesis of thyroid hormone.

Herbal tea for prostate health

Green Tea May Prevent Prostate Cancer

The active ingredients in green tea are called polyphenols. The studies in 2008 found benefits from green tea in treating prostate cancer.
After one year taking green tea catechins only one in a group of 32 men at high risk of developing prostate cancer were diagnosed with the disease, compared to nine out of 30 in a control group. They were given the equivalent of 12 cups of green tea a day.
Italian researchers found epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) in GTCs targeted prostate cancer cells for death, without damaging benign controls.
The study showed that green tea can be used to halt the growth of prostate tumors, but green tea has not been shown to prevent it. However, researchers are confident that green tea, taken in the appropriate quantities, may be able to prevent prostate cancer from occurring.

Fiber reduce PROSTATE CANCER risk

The research published in International Journal of Cancer (109, 2:278-280, 2004) demonstrated vegetable fiber may lower the incidence of prostate cancer.
Researchers proved hight role of fiber in prostate cancer.
In an 11-year multicenter case-control study, researchers investigated 1,294 men with incident, histological confirmed prostate cancer and 1,451 controls with acute nonmalignant conditions. The risk for prostate cancer was inversely related with soluble fiber, cellulose and vegetable fiber. Men who consumed the highest amount of vegetables were 18-percent less likely to develop prostate cancer than those who ate the least amount of vegetables.
These relationships were consistent across all ages, family histories of prostate cancer, body mass indexes and education.

So as a number of studies have suggested that plenty of fruits and vegetables diet may help ward off prostate cancer.

As study reported that because vegetables were seen to provide the most benefits of all the fibers investigated, it may be possible that some of their other nutrients could be the reason behind their prostate benefits.

Fiber comes in two main forms – soluble and insoluble. Soluble fiber partially dissolves in water, and its food sources are vegetables, fruit, oatmeal and legumes.

Insoluble fiber, which passes through the digestive system largely intact, is includes in whole grains, seeds and the skin on fruit.

Daily taking proper vitamins and minerals supplement you can also considerable lower risk of Prostate Cancer.
